Our chefs and chalet hosts are our most important asset but only
when they are right for rudechalets™.
Working a winter season as either a chef or a chalet host is not
easy and your decision to apply for a job with rudechalets™ should
not be taken lightly.
When we recruit we are more interested in character traits and
innate capabilities than specific knowledge, background or skills.
The right people for rudechalets™ do not need constant managing or
motivating; they have a strong work ethic; have interesting and
varied conversation; are enthused about winter sports and have an
appreciation for how small businesses operate.
Beyond this, we will provide you with the necessary training and
framework to run our chalets.
Sometimes we make mistakes with employment, normally when
individuals are not completely honest about themselves. As a rule,
this is very apparent during the first week of the season when it
is swiftly dealt with.
When we get the right people they have a truly great season with
rudechalets™ and are normally the envy of all other seasonal
workers. And here are some reasons why... away days once a month to
other resorts - in the past we have been to Verbier, Chamonix, Les
Houches... we leave early with a driver and get back late after a
full day on the mountain, apres ski, dinner and partying... all
